Cosmetic Laser Procedures

Like all of our treatments, a licensed doctor, Dr. Knight, and doctor-supervised licensed professionals including our physician assistant and our registered nurses perform our laser treatments on our premises, with our own equipment. Lasers deliver energy in the form of photons of light, which is administered to the skin in short, high powered bursts called "pulses." When a pulse reaches the skin, it feels like a rubber band snap. The sensation is usually minor and generally does not require local anesthetics. Tattoo Removal
For personal reasons, many people are turning to dermatologists for tattoo removal. North County Dermatology Clinic is the only tattoo removal service in Lakeland, Florida. Our state of the art laser (Medlite C6) treatments break up the tattoo pigments. The particles are then removed by your body over the ensuing weeks. Multiple treatments (usually 4-8, eight weeks apart) will be necessary depending on the age and colors in the tattoo and whether the tattoo was done by a professional or amateur. The amateur tattoos respond better to laser therapy since the ink is usually not as deep and is a blue-black color.
